Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted a blog! I haven’t given up on it, though. Life’s just been crazy busy.

Today a guest speaker at church was speaking of marriage, and comparing wanting a good marriage to wanting to lose weight. He said if you say you want to lose weight but don’t do anything to actually achieve it, then you do not really want to lose weight. You’re merely wishing to. So if I say I want to change our society’s perspective and bring an end to childhood sexual abuse, but then don’t do anything about it, it’s not a want for me. It’s a wish.

I had to ask myself, when was the last time I prayed about this? When was the last time I blogged or did anything else?

Promoting sexual abuse awareness has to be a want for me. An earnest, unfailing desire. No exceptions.

I realize, of course, that this is my calling, not yours, so the purpose of today’s post is simply to remind and rekindle – to remind you to pray for your city, church and school, and to rekindle an awareness of the sexual abuse epidemic. I want to again encourage you to be active in what you know to do – protecting your children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; speaking up to your friends who may have never considered sexual abuse as a possibility for their own children. And pray without ceasing, not just for your church, city and school, but I would ask you to pray for me, as well. Pray that I will have opportunities to share this message that God has put on my heart, and that I would have the wisdom and insight to take them.

Let’s all do what we know to do and encourage others to do the same, and then let’s rejoice at the difference it makes 🙂

Today, I was hit so hard by the statistic that the AVERAGE age that boys are exposed to pornography is now FOUR YEARS OLD!!! That’s the average…
